Breaking ground for an exciting new cancer treatment centre in Reading, Berkshire

It’s not every day you break ground to assist in the creation of an exciting new cancer treatment centre but Euro-City is very proud to have been awarded the groundworks contract for Proton Partner’s 3rd development in the UK.

Sited at the Thames Valley Science Park, Reading, the cancer treatment centre will be able to treat up to 500 patients a year – helping to meet the growing demand for proton beam therapy, a specialised cancer treatment that is not yet available in the UK.  In addition to the therapy, facilities will include a linear accelerator, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, a CT suite and an MRI – patients will be NHS, self paying and medically insured.

This is the 2nd project at the Thames Valley Science Park for Euro-City and follows their successful delivery of substructures for the first building on site – The Hub / Gateway building.
